Tracey Gould lived up to her name in striking gold in all three of her events in the Plymouth Badminton Open Tournament held at the Mayflower Centre on Sunday 4th March.
A disappointing entry of just 27 players representing just 7 of the 20 clubs in the Plymouth League turned out to enter the five events.
In the Ladies Singles, Tracey won her seventh consecutive title beating a young Abigail Ellis 15-2 15-0. Commiserations must go to Abigail for the sheer nerve of entering the event but…. ‘Her time will come’.
In the Ladies Doubles, Tracey teamed up with her normal partner, Marguerite Butt of Ivybridge, to win their nineteenth consecutive Doubles title, beating her fellow Greenbank team-mates Lynne Hunt and Sharon James 15-7 15-6.

Tracey’s triple triumph came in the Mixed Doubles with Chris Hunt, her doubles partner at Greenbank, when they beat Marguerite Butt and Chris Jewell of Ivybridge 15-9 15-8. No photograph should be
