This 15th November 2002 match resulted in a comfortable 7-2 home victory for Callington B, over the Wednesday B Team.

 

The young legs of Wednesday's Carl Pavitt contributed to the away side's only points in two grueling three setters.  Just three aces separated the first men's event where Carl and Andy Crocker eventually overcame Brian Gilbert and Ryan Dover 15-13 9-15 15-9.  Then Carl teamed up with Karen Searl in the second mixed event.  Here just four aces separated the pairs as Carl and Karen won through 15-9 14-17 15-14 against Sarah Maddaford and Ryan Dover.

 

For the home side the experienced (veteran!) Mike Kingcombe, along with Jane Wheele and Lorna Holwell were all undefeated.
