Mayflower Wednesday discovered that when your luck is out, it is out!
Wednesday's Kerensa May retired after the first ladies event
with a bad back. Substitute Ann Mure was then forced to pull out injured after
her ladies, resulting in the third mixed event being conceded.
Wednesday's Abigail Ellis and Jane Bryan saved the whitewash with a 15-8 15-9
victory over Josie Denham and Barbara Woods.
For Builders the "evergreen" veteran Brian Statton showed all his experience as Builders ran out comfortable 8-1 winners.
